Frequently asked questions
What inputs are required to run the report?
Enter a full domain or URL and SplashDash does the rest.
What outputs does the report provide?
- Monthly organic traffic and keyword count
- Lighthouse performance metrics: site speed, accessibility, SEO, best practices
- Domain and page authority scores
- Spam score and number of referring pages
- Domain registration, expiration, and CMS detection
How is domain authority measured in this report?
It’s pulled from Moz and reflects the overall trustworthiness of a domain on a 0–100 scale. Higher scores tend to correlate with stronger search rankings.
What should I do if the spam score is high?
That may indicate risky backlinks or domain issues. Use it as a conversation starter about link quality and long-term SEO health.
What does this tell me about the site's SEO progress?
You can track the number of ranking keywords and monthly organic traffic. If those are increasing, it shows momentum. If not, use that to recommend content or on-page SEO work.
Can I run this report on any site, even if we didn’t build it?
Yes. It works on any public domain and doesn’t require access to analytics or CMS tools. It’s especially useful during the prospecting or pre-audit phase.
How can I use this in a proposal or pitch deck?
Use the key stats to visually show where the client is strong (like a low spam score or growing traffic) and where there’s opportunity (like a low performance score). It gives credibility and context to your recommendations.
Is this report useful for ongoing client reporting?
Yes. Monthly check-ins can show improvements in keyword growth, authority, or traffic—ideal for showing ROI on SEO and development efforts.
What if the CMS is listed as “not detected”?
That happens if the CMS is custom-built or doesn’t leave a clear footprint. It doesn’t affect the rest of the report, and you can still pull all other metrics.
Can I use this to justify a site redesign?
Yes. If speed is low, SEO is flat, and traffic is underperforming, this report gives you clear, non-technical evidence to make the case for an updated website.
Do I need to install anything or get access to their Google tools?
No. SplashDash works without setup, logins, or integrations. Just type in the domain and get a full performance snapshot.
